August STRIVEr: Ben Dombroski

Storms that came through Cedar Rapids at the end of July left their mark with downed trees and loss of power for many. When one of his team members reached out saying she wouldn’t be in the office Monday due to dealing with damage, our August STRIVEr showed up in a big way. Read how Ben Dombroski, logistics manager of customer service, instilled authenticity and set the bar higher to help his team member out which earned him the August STRIVEr honor.

Nomination

“I sent Ben a message late on Friday, July 28 letting him know I would be out of the office the following Monday to deal with property damage caused by a storm. Ben didn’t simply reply with ‘Thanks for letting me know,’ he asked, ‘What’s your address? I’ll be there in the morning.’ Ben arrived at 7 a.m. the next day with donuts for my daughter and helped me clear a path through the debris until a contractor team could arrive. This goes above and beyond a manager’s responsibility to their employee. He is dedicated to the organization and always has the desire to do his best. We are fortunate to have someone like this on our team.”
