May STRIVEr 2025: Brandon Feldman
A hallmark trait of a STRIVEr is the ability to step up as a need arises. When our warehouse supervisor was on vacation, our May STRIVEr, Brandon Feldman, radiated enthusiasm while keeping our feed warehouse running smoothly.

Meet Our 2025 Agronomy Interns
Welcoming the next intern class is always a highly anticipated part of our summer. This year, we are fortunate to have four bright, young agriculturalists joining our agronomy department to bring their fresh insights and put their classroom knowledge into practice by helping scout customers’ fields, collect data from our test plots, and develop an agronomy-related research project. At the end of the summer, each intern will wrap up their experience by presenting on their hard work.

Welcome to the Team Jefferson Keller
Hailing from the Cornhusker State is our newest territory sales manager for our Nebraska and South Dakota territory, Jefferson Keller. Growing up, Jefferson was heavily involved in 4-H and FFA; showing livestock in youth shows helped him build his Hereford herd, which he maintains today. He received his bachelor’s degree in animal science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he was a member of the livestock judging team. He went on to coach the team for three years and has most recently served as a feed sales specialist at a cooperative.

What if innovation is forged from tradition?

April STRIVEr 2025: Lane Jensen
Our April STRIVEr exemplifies the “leave it better than you found it” principle. Rather than simply completing the task at hand, Lane Jensen took the extra time to declutter a workspace, leaving it in a better condition for his team members.

The Nitrogen Cycle
The nitrogen cycle is a complex chain of microbial and chemical processes that play a major role in crop production. Nitrogen takes up about 78% of our atmosphere and is one of the 17 essential nutrients necessary for plants to complete their life cycle. It plays important roles in the plant such as assisting with protein and chlorophyll production (Sustainable Corn, 2015). The nitrogen cycle is a natural occurrence, but farmers can influence this process based on the 4Rs of nutrient management: right source, right time, right rate and right place (“The 4Rs”, n.d.).
