What is it
Chaffhaye is Non-GMO premium alfalfa that is freshly chopped and bagged with a misting of molasses. It is processed to retain its natural juice and preserve the natural probiotics, unlike other animal feed that goes through a drying process. Fermentation in the bag creates a forage that is as close to actual pasture that you can find with a guaranteed level of nutrition. What it does
Chaffhaye can improve digestion and maximize overall gut health of horses, ruminants, deer, chicken, rabbit, camelid and other exotic animals. Chaffhaye is also beneficial for household pets. Not only do animals love the taste, but owners across the country are raving about the improved health of their animals. Crude fiber is imperative to healthy digestion. Chaffhaye boasts 23% of crude fiber which decreases instances of diarrhea as well as increases movement in the gut. How to store it
Chaffhaye is a premium, all-natural product that must also be stored air-tight in its original bag to retain its nutritional value. One advantage to Chaffhaye is its sturdy weather-resistant packaging, which preserves the forage for at least 16 months while factory sealed. However, once the bag is opened, oxygen is reintroduced into the alfalfa causing it to slowly lose its freshness. After opening the bag, Chaffhaye will remain consumable for 7 to 14 days depending on weather conditions. Increasing the product’s shelf life by tightly closing the bag after each use will ensure the enzymes and nutrients stay as fresh as possible. Squeeze the air out of the opened bag by tightly rolling it closed and then securing it with a clip or heavy weight on top to help keep the oxygen out. Chaffhaye should ideally be stored in a cool, dry place.
