Product Spotlight: Hay Saver
One of the many stresses that plague ruminant livestock and horse producers alike is hay. Whether it’s making enough of their own or finding hay to purchase, having a quality forage supply that lasts through winter is a common hurdle. Additionally, it can be difficult to cover high hay costs when supply is drastically limited. Although not a complete replacement, Hay Saver from Hunter Nutrition is built to supplement forage requirements without burning through hay supplies.
Hay Saver is a pelleted hay replacer with the same nutritional value as high quality second cutting hay. It can replace up to 60% of hay in the livestock diet. The pelleted form makes it easy to use and store, and very little is wasted. This is a strong value proposition due to the large amount of space needed to store hay and the significant amount of hay that often goes bad. One 50 pound bag of Hay Saver is equal to 60 pounds of traditional hay.
