Employee Spotlight: Pat Schneider

Through our Employee Spotlight Blog Series, learn about the people who make up the Stutsman team. Let’s get to know Pat Schneider! He has been on our team since 1984 and is the current Retail Fertilizer Plant Manager. Pat can be found mixing chemicals by day and raising cattle by night! Learn more about Pat below!

What are your responsibilities?
My responsibilities include mixing chemicals and loading nurse trucks for delivery to our applicators.
What is your background?
I grew up in Riverside, IA and graduated from Highland High School. I then attended Kirkwood Community College for Ag Production.
What do you enjoying doing in your spare time?
I like spending time with my grandkids and farming!
What do you consider to be the most rewarding part of your job?
The fall season and getting to work with fertilizers is really enjoyable for me.
What is something random most people don’t know about you?
I have been the Beef Superintendent for the Washington County Fair since 2010.
If you had to eat the same food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Ribeye!
If you were stuck on an island, what 3 items would you bring?
My family, a fishing pole, and a lighter.
What’s on your bucket list?
To see as many county and state fairs as possible.
What has been the biggest change in the industry during your tenure here?
The changes in technology and automation!
If you had to be a product you work with, what would it be and why?
I would be a Junge control system because it is precise and gets everything done right.
What is your favorite thing about the agriculture industry?
Getting to work with people and seeing all the growth!
