Employee Spotlight: John Yoder

Through our Employee Spotlight Blog Series, learn about the people who make up the Stutsman team. John Yoder is our Vice President of Waste Handling! He joined the Stutsman team in 1983, and today can be found overseeing all aspects of the Waste Handling Division. Let’s get to know John!

What is your background?
I grew up on a dairy farm in Sharon Center. I went to school through 8th grade then received my GED.
What do you enjoying doing in your spare time?
I like to golf, spend time with my grandkids, and fix up tractors.
What do you consider to be the most rewarding part of your job?
Working with the employees and customers!
What is something random most people don’t know about you?
I used to be Amish.
If you had to eat the same food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Burritos!
If you were stuck on an island, what 3 items would you bring?
Food, clothes, and something to write with.
What would be the title of your autobiography?
My Life in Johnson County
What’s on your bucket list?
Travel to Italy!
What has been the biggest change in the industry during your tenure here?
The increase in technology.
If you had to be a product you work with, what would it be and why?
I’d be a manure applicator because it fertilizes crops and reduces odor.
What is your favorite thing about the agriculture industry?
The people!
