Employee Spotlight: Emily Probst

Through our Employee Spotlight Blog Series, learn about the people who make up the Stutsman team. Emily Probst is a number wizard working in Accounts Receivable/Payable! This University of Iowa grad has been part of the team since 2016; learn more about her below!
What are your responsibilities?
Paying vendors, entering bills into the computer, reconciling accounts receivable daily, and taking calls.
What is your background?
I grew up on a farm in West Liberty and graduated with a BA from the University of Iowa. After college, I worked in banking for five years before coming to Stutsmans.
What do you enjoying doing in your spare time?
I enjoy gardening and needlework.
What do you consider to be the most rewarding part of your job?
Helping customers understand their accounts and solving problems!
What is something random most people don’t know about you?
I enjoy a challenge and accomplishing things I set out to do.
If you had to eat the same food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Burgers!
If you were stuck on an island, what 3 items would you bring?
Matches, sunscreen, and a good book.
What’s on your bucket list?
I would really like to go zip-lining!
What has been the biggest change in the industry during your tenure here?
The use of technology such as GPS, autosteer, and drones.
What is your favorite thing about the agriculture industry?
The people!
