Employee Spotlight: Nate Kasdorf
Employees are one of the most important ingredients in our recipe for success. Through our Employee Spotlight Blog Series, we like to highlight the people who serve our customers! Nate Kasdorf joined the Stutsman team in 2013 as a Wholesale/Retail Fertilizer Plant Operator. He stays busy in the spring and fall hauling fertilizer and chemicals. Let’s get to know Nate!

What is your background?
I’m originally from Sturgis, Michigan and went to electrical trade school. I worked for an electrical wholesaler before coming to Stutsmans.
What do you enjoying doing in your spare time?
I like to spend time at my cabin, go fishing, mow the yard, and work in my garden!
What do you consider to be the most rewarding part of your job?
Getting the job done correctly and not making mistakes is rewarding to me.
If you had to eat the same food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Potatoes!
If you were stuck on an island, what 3 items would you bring?
Water, fire starter, and Matt Lerkins because he can fix anything.
What would be the title of your autobiography?
Doing the Right Thing Even When It Sucks
What’s on your bucket list?
Traveling to the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Alaska, and overseas! I’d also like to climb the position ladder here at Stutsmans.
What has been the biggest change in the industry during your tenure here?
Working with chemicals has changed, with a lot of new names and more generic brands available.
If you had to be a product you work with, what would it be and why?
Water because it goes with everything!
What is your favorite thing about the agriculture industry?
Helping customers be successful!
