Looking Forward
In “Reflecting Back” we talked about the importance of reviewing what went well so far this season and what could be improved upon for next year while everything is still fresh in your mind. Not only is it important to personally review your season but it’s also worthwhile to share your thoughts with your Stutsman Agronomist. This time is also a great opportunity to talk about what your game plan is for this fall.
Here are some things to think about going into fall:
•Do you need to have fields soil sampled?
•Do you need to have any fields limed? Do you want to use dry lime or liquid lime and what time frame are you thinking about applying it?
•If you are using dry lime do you want it variable rated? (Our suggestion is most definitely!)
•What kind of fertilizer are you wanting to apply? When are you wanting to apply?
•If you had a lot of weed escapes do you need a fall burndown?
•Are you thinking about seeding cover crops? When and how are you going to handle that?
•Have you talked to Katie McWhirter or Amber Milder about how ProVantage can assist you in reaching your yield goals? Learn more about ProVantage here!
We all know fall is an incredibly busy time for everyone but having an established game plan can help alleviate unnecessary stress. To build your fall plans, talk to your Stutsman Agronomist now about everything you would like taken care of. After all, together we can help your fields reach their full potential.
