Employee Spotlight: Mark Rohret

Through our Employee Spotlight Blog Series, learn about the people who make up the Stutsman team. Mark Rohret, Waste Handling Sales and Support, has been on the team since March of 2008! He serves our customers for success by handling ECS and flow control systems. Let’s learn more about Mark!

What is your background?
I grew up on my family’s cattle farm in Oxford, IA. After graduating from Clear Creek Amana, I went to the University of Iowa for a short time. I then transferred to Kirkwood Community College and completed their Agricultural GPS and GIS program. I was a summer intern here at Stutsmans during college before coming on full-time!
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I like to go hog hunting in Texas and farm.
What do you consider to be the most rewarding part of your job?
Being able to help customers solve problems!
What is something random most people don’t know about you?
My co-workers call me Suzie.
If you had to eat the same food for the rest of your life what would it be?
Steak.
If you were stuck on an island what 3 items would you bring?
A lawn chair, matches, and a beverage.
What’s on your bucket list?
Hog hunting out of a helicopter.
What has been the biggest change in the industry during your tenure here?
The advancements in technology! What used to be an accessory now comes standard.
If you had to be a product you work with, what would it be and why?
A Nexus system; it helps customers as the control system on engine units.
What is your favorite thing about the ag industry?
It’s always changing and improving year by year.
