Protect your Largest Input Investment
Stronger, healthier crops lead to increased yield and profit potential.
Fertilizer is a grower’s most expensive input, according to the 2015 Purdue Crop Cost & Return Guide. Additionally, nitrogen is the most expensive fertilizer investment. Instinct® II and N-Serve® nitrogen stabilizers protect fertilizer investments by keeping nitrogen in the root zone longer so it is available when and where crops need to use it. Stabilizing nitrogen helps grow stronger, healthier crops, which leads to increased yield and profit potential.

Keep in mind the advantages of fall-applied nitrogen:
- Fall applications reduce the potential for soil compaction and seedling injury associated with spring pre-plant applications.
- Growers and fertilizer dealers can spread some of their spring workload to fall. This allows growers to complete planting in a timely manner, reducing yield losses from late planting.
- Wet weather in the spring can greatly reduce or even eliminate your window for applying nitrogen.
- Purchasing anhydrous ammonia in the fall may allow growers to take advantage of lower prices.
Also, take into consideration the increase in public awareness for responsible nitrogen management. N-Serve® nitrogen stabilizer was developed to help farmers protect their crop yields as well as the environment by helping to keep nitrogen in the root zone. In June, Instinct® II nitrogen stabilizer won the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award. Instinct II and N-Serve are the only nitrogen stabilizers accepted for registration by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
