Meet the 2016 Interns
Ever since the summer of 2007 we have been fortunate enough to welcome college students to our agronomy team that are eager to get their feet wet in the industry and to learn about row crops from the ground up. This year we are very excited to welcome 5 new students to our team. During their time with us, these interns will be looking for and recording plant health, soil conditions, stand counts, plant coloration, root structure, insect and weed pressure, disease breakouts, and much, much more!

What is your favorite thing about agriculture: It’s always growing. It’s not just about sitting in an office and crunching numbers. There is always a living component; sometimes it cooperates and sometimes it doesn’t but it’s always interesting.
What are you most excited about experiencing during your internship: I’m excited to scout fields in our local area, and learn about the different ways people do things. I’m also excited to make connections with growers and agronomists at Stutsman alike.
Name: Kara Exline

What is your favorite thing about agriculture: Agriculture has so much diversity and has no limits on gender. You can be a female working in a hog barn or driving a tractor. To me, it’s the only industry that doesn’t hinder you based on gender.
