True to Bazooka’s relentless commitment to improvement and innovation, their newest hose reel line is built to change the game in pumper efficiency and transportation ease.
The Crossfire series has been designed and re-engineered to produce more leverage to pivot 120° above the axles from “travel” to “work” mode when the reel is fully loaded with hose.
The smaller, 1810 Crossfire, meets strict DOT regulations with a 110″ (8’5″) transportation width making it highway approved. Not only can it comfortably hold 1.25 miles of 8″ layflat but the 1810’s compact design makes maneuvering narrow field entrances and traveling back roads a breeze: all without sacrificing capacity.
If size is what you are aiming for, the 2416 Crossfire is built with the same capacity as Bazooka’s standard 2416 reels with the added twist. The 2416 Crossfire comfortably holds 1.124 miles of 10″, 2 miles of 8″, or 3 miles of 6″.
Both Crossfire models have the option for Quantum Drive System (QDS) integration. The QDS offers high-speed innovation, with precise control features to allow applicators to move hose faster than ever before. The 3-speed QDS technology combined with the Crossfire’s narrow design allows operators to take efficiency to the next level.
Although officially rolled out this past summer, the 1810 Crossfire series was tested in the spring 2019 season in Pennsylvania. The applicators reported this reel was the answer to the transportation challenges they typically face with the narrow, winding roads of the East Coast.
