Everything from designing dairy setups and checking over equipment to making sure everything is running smoothly during the busy seasons falls under Mike’s purview. Mike joined the Stutsman team in 1994.
We have had multiple reports this season from customers who have lost cattle due to gas emissions during pumping. Luckily, in these instances, no people were harmed. Unfortunately, that’s not always the case. We just wanted to remind everyone to take extra safety precautions when agitating and pumping manure.
In preparation for National Farm Safety week {September 18-24}, we wanted to share an article from the Iowa Pork Producer’s Summer 2016 edition of Headlines. Not only does this article highlight our long time customer, Leon Sheets of Ionia, Iowa, but safety protocols to be implemented when pumping and agitating manure pits.

One of the familiar faces to many of our customers is Duncan Bell, Parts Specialist (since 2013). Located at the parts counter in the Retail Center, Duncan assists people with all of their parts needs, whether that be for manure handling or sprayer/application equipment.
Gerry Erickson, NDSU Farm Manager, and Todd Molden, NDSU Dairy Research Specialist, are happy with More Than Manure’s effectiveness on reducing crusting and solids in their lagoons while cutting down on overall odor. Check out their MTM experience in their testimonial video below!
