Help us welcome Stutsman Transporation’s newest member Whitney Marmolejo! She joined the team as a Logistics Specialists, and also stays busy raising her kids and living life to the fullest! Let’s learn more about Whitney below!
What is your background?
I was born in Odessa, Texas and graduated from Center Point – Urbana High School in 2006. I continued my education in Graphic Design at the Art Institute International of Minnesota. I’m the oldest of 2 sisters and got married in October 2017. We have a beautiful family of 5 kids, along with 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a fish! Family is everything to me, and I’m very close to my parents and grandparents. I’m finally going to be an aunt in December!
Where have you worked before Stutsmans?
I started my adventure in Transportation in August 2013 with CRST Logistics. After working for them for almost 4 years, I took a break to stay at home with our youngest child.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I love spending time with our family and building memories with our children. We enjoy rooting on our kids in their school activities, along with dancing in the car or the kitchen. Add to the list sports, fishing, gardening, cooking, baking, music, singing, painting, refurnishing, and crafting!
What is something random most people don’t know about you?
I was on Good Morning America was I was in 4th grade singing a clip of the National Anthem at a Mount Mercy Woman’s basketball game when my dad was still coaching! They were doing a story on a student who had asked to play basketball for my dad.
If you had to eat the same food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Peanut butter or bread!
If you were stuck on an island, what 3 items would you bring?
My bible, fishing pole, and a toothbrush!
What are some items on your bucket list?
Skydiving, bungee jumping, deep sea diving, finding a field of sunflowers of daisies and just laying in it from sunrise to sunset, go on our honeymoon, go to Alaska or Canada to fish, and be a missionary!
What was the best concert you’ve ever been to?
Newsboys and Casting Crowns!
What’s your favorite thing about the agriculture industry?
The memories that it makes for families because it instills morals and values that roll over into our everyday lives.
What are you most passionate about?
My relationship with God, the love I have for my husband and children, as well as helping others in need.
If you could visit anywhere in the world, where you go?
That’s a hard one! I want to go to A LOT of places, but I really want to see our family heritage in Ireland.
What is your favorite family tradition?
We have a lot of them! From picking out your birthday meal, to making Christmas cookies. But I love going to the apple orchard and picking out pumpkins!
If you could swap places with someone for a day who would it be?
I would swap with my 2-year-old!
What are you currently watching on Netflix?
The last time I actually got the remote and had time to watch Netflix, I was watching Blue Bloods and Madam Secretary!
