Welcome to the Team Scott Walthart
Help us welcome Scott Walthart, a recent addition to Stutsman Logistics! Scott is a Northeast Iowa native and started his career in agriculture before transitioning to the transportation/logistics world. Learn more about this new logistics specialist below!
What is your background?
I’m originally from a small town in Northeast Iowa named Quasqueton. I went to high school at East Buchanan in Winthrop, Iowa and then started at to Iowa State. I graduated from there in 1995 with a degree in ag systems technology. After moving around a bit, I finally settled on an acreage just north of Troy Mills, IA where I have lived for 18 years. I live 10 or less miles away from both of my sisters and my parents. My 16-year-old son is a sophomore at North Linn High School.
Where have you worked before Stutsmans?
Right out of college I worked for Sukup Manufacturing as their international sales manager, where I traveled overseas and across North America. Next, I worked for Kinze Manufacturing and traveled in the United States.
My experience in the transportation/logistics industry started with being a CRST fleet manager for four years. Then, I was at Morrison Trucking in Alburnett for nine years. Here, I handled dispatch, planning, and brokerage duties. I worked as a dedicated fleet manager at Hybrid Transit Systems for seven and half years before coming to Stutsman Logistics.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Being outside; hunting, fishing (especially at my dad’s place in Northern Minnesota), working in the garden, and boating. I like to cheer on the Cyclones, as well as cook and entertain.
