Welcome to the Team Curt Miller
Although new to our agronomy sales team, Curt Miller is no stranger to the agriculture industry or precision ag. In his new role, Curt will be working out of our K&B location in Fairfax, spending his time bringing value, profitability and knowledge to our ProVantage customers.
Prior to joining the Stutsman/K&B team, Curt worked for O’Grady Chemical Corp. in Van Horne for 17 years. He started the HighQ program (which is very similar to ProVantage) from scratch, educating growers about the benefits of technology in farming.
Curt grew up in Van Horne, Iowa and graduated from Benton Community High School. He attended the University of Northern Iowa and Hawkeye Community College, earning a degree in ag business management. Growing up around the ag industry, as well as spending his summers working at a local farm service store, instilled his appreciation for the agriculture community.
In his new role, Curt is excited to learn his new territory and everyone’s different farming practices. “Every year brings a new challenge in agriculture,” said Curt. “I get energy from learning new ways to minimize these challenges and presenting innovative opportunities to grow – both literally and figuratively!”
When Curt is not digging into farm data, you can find him caring for his yard or making dinner for his family on the smoker. He also really enjoys watching Michigan football, the sport of wrestling (Go Hawks!), sprint car racing and hunting.
We are excited to have Curt and his passion for precision ag on our team!
What excites you most about your new job?
I really enjoy building relationships with people. The opportunity to demonstrate the value in technologies and different perspectives to growers are things that I find very rewarding.
What is your proudest accomplishment?
My family! My wife Megan and I have 2 kids: Quinn (9) and Hayes (7).
What is a fun fact about you?
Key West, Florida is our vacation spot. We’ve been there several times.
If you could snap your fingers and become an expert at something, what would it be?
I would really like to be more mechanically talented.
Which Stutsman core value means the most to you?
Geez, they all go hand-in-hand in my opinion but if I had to choose one, I would say Instill Authenticity. Integrity carries a lot of weight with me and who I choose to associate with. If you don’t have integrity, what do you have? I do like the attitude: “Attack each day with ENTHUSIASM unknown to mankind.”
