Welcome to the Team Alex Miller

A native of West Branch, Iowa, Alex Miller recently moved back to the area from across the state and joined our team as a customer service representative in our feed ingredients division. Before joining our team at Stutsmans, he served as a retail feed specialist for NEW Cooperative in Mt. Ayr, Iowa, following graduation from Iowa State University where he earned his degree in animal science.

As a customer service representative, Alex will be taking orders from customers, letting them know when their deliveries are coming and answering any questions they have. Alex is excited to meet new people in his role, especially our feed customers.

Tell us about your family.

My fiancé and I are getting married next year. We raise cattle with her family and have just started raising club lambs in the last few years.

How did you become interested in agriculture?

I didn’t grow up on a farm, but hearing stories about when my dad raised pigs and having friends who showed livestock got me interested in ag and eventually the feed side of the industry.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

In my spare time, I enjoy golfing and working with our sheep or calves. If I’m not doing that, I love watching Iowa State sports.

If you could snap your fingers and become an expert at something, what would it be?

I’d love to be an expert at golf and play better. I think it would be fun to win tournaments and make extra money on the side.

What is your proudest accomplishment?

My proudest accomplishment is graduating with a B.S. in animal science in three and a half years from Iowa State University.

What is on your bucket list?

Raising a grand/state champion lamb and traveling to Australia.
