‘Twas the Night Before Christmas; Stutsman Version
‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through the warehouse,
not a creature was stirring not even a mouse.
The hoses were set on the shelf with care,
with hopes an early manure season would soon be there.
All the fertilizer was nestled all snug in the shed,
While visions of perfect spring weather danced in farmers’ heads.
And the feed in the bags and the equipment in the lot,
Were settled in with intentions of being bought.
When out on the dock there arose such a clatter,
But no one was there to see what was the matter.
Behold it was no one other than ol’ St Nick,
With a broken sleigh and reindeer that were sick.
“How am I supposed to deliver the rest of my gifts,
my team is everything but swift!”
When out of the darkness came rolling a rig,
It was a truck and trailer with Stutsman displayed big.
Out jumped a driver to check out the commotion,
when he figured out what was wrong he had quite the notion.
Santa why don’t you take my ride to deliver the toys,
The trailer is big it can even haul Rudolph and the boys.
Like a flash of lightning they loaded up quick,
And off rolled the Stutsman truck with the reindeer and St. Nick.
‘Twas the night before Christmas when Stutsmans saved the day,
When a semi & a van trailer replaced Santa’s sleigh.
Merry Christmas from all of us at Eldon C. Stutsman, Inc!
