The Proactive Step to Bin and Dryer Safety
If you’ve ever climbed a bin or dryer, you understand that heart-dropping moment when your foot slips. Odds are, you’ve also experienced making repairs while clenching multiple tools and somehow holding on to the bin at the same time. Although typically overshadowed by other ag hazards like bin entrapments, PTO entanglements, and machinery accidents, falls still plague producers of all ages. Over the past few years, grain bin safety improvements have become a higher priority for many of our customers.
More specifically, we’ve seen a lot of interest in dryer platforms with stairs to make belt and motor repairs much easier (if you are having flashbacks to all the times you climbed your dryer last fall, you are not alone). We’ve also seen a rise in popularity with catwalks between bins (who likes climbing up and down bins all the time anyhow?!). Check out what a couple of our customers have to say about the proactive steps they took to prevent slips or falls on their farms:To get the same peace of mind that Larry, Tom, and many other Stutsman customers have found with their custom dryer platforms, catwalks, and bin stairs, give Roger Slaughter or Tom Miller a call at 319-679-2281.
