The Perfect Pairing: ZML and Salford Tackle Strip-Till
Rising fertilizer prices in the last couple of years have growers looking for ways to maximize inputs without compromising soil health or hurting the plant. Knowing that, one of the fastest growing topics for us at Stutsmans has been strip-till. By getting nutrients ideally placed for seedlings, strip-till implements create and place fertilizer in a 4-6″ wide strip exactly where the future plant needs it.
Discussions with customers have led us to introduce the ZML 2200 Series toolbar with Contour King row-units to our product lineup. When we pair our Valmar ST Series dry box with ZML’s caddy, this makes for an excellent strip-till bar to add to anyone’s operation. In my opinion, Zimmerman Manufacturing LLC (ZML) has one of the heaviest, but simplest, row-unit designs on the market. These units are designed for simple, in-field adjustments or changes that can adapt to almost all types of soil conditions.
From improving fertilizer use efficiency to protecting soil health, the ZML strip-till unit helps cut down on compaction while promoting even seedling emergence. To talk through strip-till and the options available with this toolbar, give us a call at 319.679.2281!
