September STRIVEr: Rodney Kramer
Our September STRIVEr may have only joined our team seven months ago, but he is already setting the bar higher by helping train another employee to operate safely on the road. Read on to learn how Rodney Kramer took the lead to earn the September honors.
Nomination
“Rodney Kramer came to work with us in Hills in March of 2024. This past month, I got to spend some time with him, and he ended up helping me train Carter Hebl, one of our new employees, on how to get his Class A license before the season started, which was about 45 days away. Rodney helped on days I could not train over the road and gave Carter great information, helpful tips, and years-ahead guidance throughout their time together over those 4 weeks. Rodney stepped into that role without really being asked to help and took it just as seriously as I do. On a day when I was teaching Carter backing, Rodney stepped in again when I had to take a phone call, and I overheard the tips he was giving Carter about backing up a semi.
Training is the cornerstone of any effective safety plan, and Rodney took the lead, set the bar higher, exceeded expectations, and instilled authenticity by showing how much he cared about Carter being safe on the road in a CMV.
People like Rodney truly embrace what being a STRIVEr is all about.”
