Salford Group Joins the Stutsman Equipment Line
Always looking for ways to serve our customer’s diverse needs, we recently added Salford Group equipment to our product offering. From tillage to seeding to fertilizer equipment we felt that they were a natural fit to our line. Learn more about our newest vendor and the exciting equipment additions.
Salford farm machinery, founded in 1978 by Jake Rozendaal, has a history of making equipment better, more efficient, and more durable. Over the years, they acquired BBI Spreaders, Valmar Airflo, and AerWay equipment to transition to the Salford Group name. As it stands today, the Salford Group is the only Original Engineering Manufacturer company to produce broadcast spinner spreaders, pneumatic boom spreaders, and drill type granular fertilizer application equipment in North America.
On top of the AerWay equipment we have sold for years, here are the newest additions that we currently have in Hills:
Valmar Airflo 8608/8611 Pull Type Air Boom Applicators
The Valmar 8600 series fertilizer spreaders offer high-capacity and high-speed application. Not only do they spread 1000lbs/acre at 8mph but the large hopper keeps you in the field for a longer period of time. The split hopper and dual metering feature on the 8611 model allows multi-product blends to be applied as well. For those that utilize precision technology, the 8600 is capable of hydraulic variable rate application.
Salford Independent Series Tillage Equipment
I-1200
The I-1200 offers true vertical tillage with superior residue management and leveling power to improve planter performance. Furthermore, the I-1200 shatters compaction with the spring-loaded coil-tech coulters for improved root development and increased moisture storage. In terms of versatility, you can add SwitchBlade shanks to convert from vertical tillage to either fertilizer applicator or chisel in a matter of seconds.
I-2100
The I-2100 is built for any soil and any season. From managing fall residue to preparing spring seedbeds in wet or dry conditions, you don’t have to worry about plugging the I-2100. Even in tougher ground conditions, the larger 5 bolt hubs and 22″ blades are able to penetrate deeper into the soil. Just like the I-1200, it can transition into a fertilizer applicator or chisel with the addition of Switch Blades.
Valmar 56 Series Implement-Mount Granular Applicator
Known for their value, versatility, and adaptability, we are pretty excited about the addition of these granular applicators. Whether you are seeding cover crops or applying fertilizer, you can count on accomplishing more work with each pass. The Valmar 55 series is routinely set up on tillage implements, heavy harrows, and high clearance sprayers. Additionally, a tow-behind mounting option is also available. Through simple calibration, easy maintenance/cleaning, and precise metering, the Valmar Granular Applicators are built with your operation’s efficiency in mind.
Salford Pathfinder Self-Steering Cart
The Salford Pathfinder ST series is your versatile, high rate product delivery system for strip till and row crop application. Equipped with a universal double ball hitch, the fully steerable undercarriage Pathfinder series can be partnered with most any leading toolbar, tillage or planting implement. Whether you want to apply one or two products, you can count on the utmost accuracy with the easy to operate metering system and the variable rate and section control options. The Pathfinder also features adjustable axle spacing for diverse row crop needs as well as higher clearance for later season application.
Of course, these products are just a fraction offered from the Salford group. For more information on all Salford products, contact Derek Bontrager or Derek Shalla.
