Meet Ron Christianson, New Feed Territory Sales Manager

Ron Christianson, from Northwood, Iowa,  has recently joined the Stutsman Feed Ingredients team as a Territory Sales Manager. Ron will be serving feed customers in North Central Iowa and Central Minnesota. Learn more about Ron through our Q&A session below!

What is your background?

I hail from Northwood, Iowa where I farmed for 30 years. The past 16 years, I was a feed territory sales manager for Carroll Sales. I have a wife, a daughter, and three grandsons!

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I really enjoy music. I’m in a bluegrass gospel band and participate in the church choir.

What do you consider to be the most rewarding part of your job?

The fact I get to help people, whom I consider to be friends, find the products they need is really rewarding.

What has been the biggest change in the industry during your lifetime?

I’d say all of the mergers and consolidations. Businesses just keep getting bigger.

If you had to be a product you work with what would it be and why?

Salt because it’s a mainstay of life.

What is your favorite thing about the agriculture industry?

Being a farmer, I understand the demands that the job entails. I appreciate the hard working mentality.

If you were stuck on an island what 3 items would you bring?

A phone, my banjo, and a stereo.

What’s on your bucket list?

I’d like to see the Grand Canyon and Banff, Canada.

What are you looking forward to the most as a new member of the Stutsman team?

I’m looking forward to covering a new territory, being exposed to new opportunities and of course, building relationships with our customers.
