June STRIVErs
Through our STRIVEr of the month program, we celebrate Stutsman employees that exemplify our core values and are nominated by their peers.
Interns Tommy Pretz, Cavin Malloy, Jacob Hall, and Nathan Parchert along with Mark Henderson are the June STRIVErs! They were given a tough task and completed it with great attitudes.
Value Represented:
Exceed Expectations
Nomination:
“The wrong product was loaded to a customer’s truck and taken to an organic blueberry farm. It was applied to many of their exotic blueberry bushes before the owner discovered the error. The owner promptly reached out to us and after some research, we realized the product received indeed could be detrimental to the high value crop. After explaining the gravity of the situation to senior management, we decided to correct the error by providing labor to remove the dry granular product.
When our interns Thomas Pretz, Cavin Malloy, Jacob Hall, and Nathan Parchert were presented with this task, each of them volunteered without hesitation. For the next day and a half (in 90 degree temperatures), they dug out mulch from the base of the blueberry bushes, scraped away the dry granular product, and replaced with new mulch for over 1200 blueberry bushes. Mark Henderson was asked to supervise the interns for the first day, and came back just as dirty and sweaty as the rest. Our other intern Allyn Francis was off work due to a prior commitment, but would have been right along with the others.
Our interns are only working here for the summer and volunteered for an assignment that was clearly not in the job description. This not only exceeds expectations but is also one of the most remarkable things I have ever witnessed. ”
We’re proud to have these interns and Mark on our team!
