June STRIVEr: Patrick Jennings

Even though it’s not a part of his job description, our June STRIVEr is using his 16 years of forklift experience to help train our forklift drivers how to operate safely. Read on to learn how Patrick Jennings has taken the lead and is setting the bar higher to improve the safety of our team members.

“I would like to nominate Patrick Jennings as this month’s STRIVEr. As part of our forklift safety initiative, Patrick has taken on the role of “forklift instructor”. He has helped train over 10 drivers so far, taking about one hour per driver. He usually does this with very little notice. He is setting the bar higher by doing a job not included in his role or responsibilities. He is also radiating enthusiasm as he really seems to enjoy training others and using his 16 years of forklift experience to instill a strong foundation of safety for our new and recertifying drivers.”
