July STRIVErs: Pat Mougin, Jim Mills and McKenna Walsh
Our team of July STRIVErs are not only master secret keepers but also great collaborators. Pat Mougin set the bar higher when he initiated the restoration of an old Hahn Hi-Boy like what we would have used for custom spraying in the early years of our agronomy endeavors. Pat couldn’t complete the large undertaking without the help of a few accomplices (the good kind); Jim Mills and McKenna Walsh exceeded expectations by using their talents to help with the Hi-Boy restoration project. Read on to learn how Pat, Jim and McKenna valued collaboration to pull off a wonderful surprise.
Nomination
“Pat Mougin took the lead and orchestrated the restoration of one of our old Hahn Hi-Boys to surprise Ron Stutsman. Over many months, Pat was able to keep the project in complete secrecy … from Ron. Valuing collaboration, Pat got help from Jim Mills, truck shop technician, (engine and transmission work), McKenna Walsh, graphic designer/printer specialist, (decal recreation) and Ron Sexton (tear down, sandblasting, painting and reassembly). Pat revealed the restored Hi-Boy at the Sharon Center Fourth of July Parade where Ron was in attendance; it’s safe to say Ron’s expectations were exceeded. Without Pat taking the lead, the sprayer would still be in the weeds, and this piece of company history would not have been brought back to life.”
