January STRIVEr: Derek Rich

Our January STRIVEr caught the attention of a customer with his impressive trailer backing skills. Not only that but the snow and ice couldn’t keep Derek Rich, a dedicated delivery driver for our feed ingredients division, from doing a good job. Here’s the nomination that earned Derek the January STRIVEr honor.

Nomination

“On January 27, Derek delivered feed to a customer in Creston, Iowa. This customer operates out of an on-the-farm shop on a gravel road. I received the following message from the customer after Derek left. “I wanted to give praise to one of your new drivers, Derek, who told me he started just two months ago. He got turned around and backed into place to unload on a very slick driveway, with no issues. I was very impressed! Good hire for you guys for sure! Anytime I can get drivers like that, it makes life easy for me!” From an employee standpoint, it was nice to receive positive feedback regarding our drivers. I know the location Derek delivered to well, and can only imagine how tough it was with snow/ice. Great job Derek!”
