Rantizo Sprayer

Introducing Rantizo: Taking Spraying to New Heights

JennyNovember 25, 2020Precision Ag

Whenever we bring on new equipment, we always make sure it checks the box for improving efficiency; however, the most recent addition may be the most unique we’ve ever had. Rantizo’s drone sprayer platform definitely brings technology and adaptation to a whole new level. If you’ve ever wanted to spray the field next to your house while simultaneously relaxing on the porch, that can now become a reality.

Rantizo offers a target drone spraying platform that can autonomously spray inputs, including pesticides, cover crop seeds, and liquid or granular fertilizer (and for you specialty growers, beneficial insects, and pollen). In addition to the drone sprayer, Rantizo’s platform also includes an imagery software program, which allows you to identify and verify the treatment of problem areas.

We think the best fit for the Rantizo drone is spot spraying specific problem areas of a field, specialty crops on low-acre plots such as hemp or berries, or for fields with limited access. Just like an aerial applicator or drone operator, an aerial pesticide applicator’s license and FAA certifications are required to drone spray.

Features
» Upgraded pumps for higher pumping capacity.
» Autonomous terrain follow.
» Field mapping integration.
» Collision avoidance.

Tech Specs
» 2.7 gallon tank
» 20’ swath width
» 14 acres/hour
» 3.5 acres/battery
» .9 acres/flight

If you’re ready to see the Rantizo drone in action, schedule a demo with Brian Miller.

About Rantizo
Based out of Iowa City, Iowa, Rantizo was founded by Michael Ott in January 2018. Today, they are the first company licensed and approved for drone-based agricultural spraying in multiple states. In July, they also became the first company approved for nationwide swarming for ag spraying by the FAA. This allows Rantizo to fly up to 3 drones with a single pilot and 1 visual observer. In addition to drone sales, Rantizo also offers application services.

GPS Issues?

By: Derek Shalla, Precision & Equipment Sales This spring was a challenge unlike most others due to unseasonably cold weather that lasted well into the beginning of May. To help further complicate fieldwork, some of you might have had GPS (WAAS) quality issues.
