Employee Spotlight: Ryan Miller
Although the agriculture industry and our products/services may change over the years, one consistent factor remains; our employees are one of the most important ingredients in our recipe for success. Through our Employee Spotlight Blog Series, learn about the people who make up the Stutsman team. Meet Ryan Miller, our Waste Handling Shop Services Manager. Ryan is responsible for moving equipment through the shop while assisting customers’ needs. He enjoys servicing equipment and coming up with solutions to help our customers succeed.
“Ryan sets the bar higher when meeting expectations and following through with customers. He is always looking for better ways to get the job done right, even if that requires venturing outside the box. Taking the lead is another area where Ryan excels; he is never afraid to go the extra mile to ensure everyone’s needs are met. He leads with a patient and positive attitude. I enjoy being around him and most of all knowing that any job will get accomplished when he is leading the way. Ryan represents our
Stutsman Core Values well.” – John Yoder, VP of Waste Handling
Ryan grew up on his family farm in Riverside, IA where they are still raising row crops and hogs today. He attended Mid-Prairie where he was active in FFA. Ryan was also a member of 4-H and enjoyed showing hogs at the Johnson County Fair each year.
After graduating from Kirkwood Community College in 2005, Ryan joined the Stutsman team to help Pat Mougin and Al Kessler with sprayer fleet upkeep. Not long after, he moved to our manure shop to service equipment. In addition to his service work, he was also a custom applicator for 10 years during the spring and summer hustle and bustle.
Ryan enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife Jenna, a nurse, reside in Riverside where they are raising their son and two daughters. When Ryan is not spending time with his family or working on the farm, he enjoys being outside, hunting, and fishing.
