Ron Christianson, Territory Sales Manager for North Central Iowa and Central Minnesota, serves our feed customers for success!

What are your responsibilities?
In my territory, I sell feed items and animal equipment, and provide service to our customers.
How long have you been here?
I started with the company in 2017.
What is your background?
I sold wholesale feed items for Carroll Sales for 16 years. I farmed successfully for 30 years prior to that.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Music! I am a soloist, and I sing in several groups as well. I also enjoy traveling and fishing.
What do you consider to be the most rewarding part of your job?
I get to call on my friends and get paid for it! I enjoy talking to them weekly about their needs, and helping them with orders. I feel lucky and am proud to be with this family-owned company. I was lucky in my former job to be in a family-owned company, and now it’s a blessing to feel that again with Stutsmans. I love my job and I have fun doing it!
What is something random most people don’t know about you?
I play the banjo and bass guitar.
If you had to eat the same food for the rest of your life what would it be?
Eggs and cereal. Steak would be a close second!
If you were stuck on an island what 3 items would you bring?
A boat, a fishing pole, and my cell phone (so I could still take orders).
What would be the title of your autobiography?
I Can Talk to Anybody I Meet
What’s on your bucket list?
To travel more of our great country!
What has been the biggest change in the industry during your tenure here?
The big are getting bigger and the small customers are being forced out.
If you had to be a product you work with, what would it be and why?
Sodium bicarbonate; I try to make everything neutral, keep the peace, and continue business with little distress.
What is your favorite thing about the ag industry?
I grew up on a livestock farm and everything starts on the farm. When farmers make money, they spend in businesses near them and the community benefits!
