Employee Spotlight: Matt Reeves Celebrates 10 years with Stutsmans
We strongly believe one of the most important ingredients in our recipe for success is our employees. Without our people, we simply would not be able to do what we do. Today’s employee spotlight is Matt Reeves, Feed Ingredients Territory Sales Manager, who just celebrated his ten year Stutsman anniversary. Learn more about Matt by checking out our interview with him below.
What is your background?
I grew up on a cow-calf operation in Brashear, Missouri which I now run today. My wife Cheryl and I have been married for 30 years (in September) and have three kids- Andrea, Zach and Jacob.
What do you do in your spare time?
When I’m not at work I can be found on the farm working cattle. If I’m not at the farm, I can be found at my feed store- I am also a customer of Stutsmans!
What do you consider to be the most rewarding part of your job?
My favorite part is interacting with all of our customers. Working with many of them for ten years, I’ve formed great friendships!
What has been the biggest change in the industry during your tenure here?
I think one of the biggest changes is the advancement in technology over the past ten years. I also think recent regulations, specifically the Food Safety Modernization Act, is another big adjustment.
If you had to be a product you worked with/sold, what would you be? Why?
I’d probably be Biozyme’s Amaferm. It’s a product that I think has great value.
What is your favorite aspect of the industry?
I love the agriculture community as a whole. I firmly believe it’s a group of good, honest people.
What is something random people typically do not know about you?
I have an identical twin brother!
We also asked Terry Hurshman, Vice President of Feed Ingredients, and Terry Yoder, Feed Ingredients Sales Manager, a few questions as well.
