Employee Spotlight Jill Hamer

Having grown up on a livestock farm outside of West Branch and being an active 4-H and FFA member, Jill Hamer is familiar with agriculture. After earning her associate degree from Kirkwood Community College in agricultural business, she continued to gain experience in the industry from serving as a soybean research specialist to customer service roles. As a customer service representative for our field & application equipment division, she has been helping with parts orders, inventory and shopstutsmans.com since January 2022.

Who has influenced your career the most?

My family. They have always been supportive of what I love most.

If you could snap your fingers and become an expert at something, what would it be?

Not burning the roof of my mouth while eating Pagliai’s Pizza.

What is your favorite season to work in?

I enjoy working in all seasons because it seems each season brings something new.

What is something random that most people don’t know about you?

I can play a couple songs on the accordion.

What is on your bucket list?

I would maybe like to get my pilot’s license someday.

What is the best advice you have ever been given?

Always keep learning and growing.
