Employee Spotlight: Deb Simpson

Through our Employee Spotlight Blog Series, learn about the people who make up the Stutsman team. Up next in the spotlight is Deb Simpson, Human Resources Administrator. From payroll to entering HRIS data, Deb is often found behind piles of paperwork with a smile on her face!
What is your background?
I was born in Illinois and was raised there until the 7th grade. We then moved to West Liberty, Iowa where I graduated high school. I received a Human Resources Certificate from Kirkwood Community College in 2009.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. In the summer, you can find me at my sister’s pool or playing golf (attempting to golf) with my husband!
What do you consider to be the most rewarding part of your job?
Working with all my fantastic coworkers!
If you had to eat the same food for the rest of your life what would it be?
Pizza!
What is something random most people do not know about you?
We have 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
If you were stuck on an island, what 3 items would you bring?
I would bring my family, food, and beverages.

The Life and Times of Deb Simpson
What is your favorite thing about the ag industry?
Farmers- there wouldn’t be an agriculture industry without them!
What’s on your bucket list?
I would like to travel more.
What has been the biggest change in the company since you started here?
How quickly technology has been incorporated and continues to advance!
