Employee Spotlight: Adam Grove

Adam Grove, waste handling technician, has been serving our customers for success since the summer of 2017!
Adam values collaboration and is always is available to help, whether it’s loading a tank on the trailer for delivery or putting hoses together for a hose system. In the spring he will stop what he’s doing and help the fertilizer department get work done. Adam is flexible and able to switch projects quickly and easily. He’s shown growth in his knowledge of the business and has been able to take the lead on several projects.” – John Yoder, VP of Waste Handling
What are your responsibilities?
I work with our team to put manure tanks and pumps together, and help load up new tanks.
What is your background?
I grew up on a cattle and row crop farm in South English, IA. After graduating from English Valleys High School, I went to Kirkwood Community College. I completed their agricultural geospatial technology program before starting at Stutsmans.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Helping on the family farm and going to movies.
What do you consider to be the most rewarding part of your job?
Meeting new people and getting to travel the Midwest helping customers.
What is something random most people don’t know about you?
I had the champion pen of 3 one year at the Keokuk County Expo.
If you had to eat the same food for the rest of your life what would it be?
Pizza! There’s normal pizza, as well as breakfast, dessert, and fruit pizza.
If you were stuck on an island what 3 items would you bring?
A flare gun, box of matches, and Bear Grylls.
What would be the title of your autobiography?
My Autobiography
What’s on your bucket list?
Go to Disneyland.
What has been the biggest change in the industry during your tenure here?
Equipment keeps getting bigger.
If you had to be a product you work with, what would it be and why?
A flow meter because it’s well protected on the tank.
What is your favorite thing about the ag industry?
Producers are nice and always like to talk.
