As cheesy and cliche as it sounds, we truly are blessed with employees with hearts of gold. During this holiday season, our employees organized and donated to two different causes; the Johnson County Crisis Center and the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital.More
‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through the warehouse,
not a creature was stirring not even a mouse.
The hoses were set on the shelf with care,
with hopes an early manure season would soon be there.More

The holidays are always a special time of year; feelings of thanks and generosity seem to become more evident than they are the rest of the year. During the holiday season, it has become a tradition to extend our kindness to the community through a food/donation drive for the Crisis Center of Johnson County. According to the 2015 United States Census, 15.9% of Johnson County’s population lives below the poverty line. That’s higher than the national average! Whether it’s putting food on the table, providing emotional support over the phone, or giving financial assistance to keep the heat on, the Crisis Center of Johnson County is truly a great asset to our community.
Help us spread holiday cheer (pun intended) by filling our manure spreader in the retail center with non-perishable food items and financial donations through December 22nd.More
Tis the season of gratitude and what better time to recognize 3 things we are thankful for (as we are every day of the week).More
When Eldon Stutsman founded the company in 1934, his personal morals and values laid the foundation for how customers were serviced and how business was conducted. Over 82 years later, we still believe in embracing these same values.Over the course of the past few months, we have worked on identifying these values that have been a part of our core culture since 1934 and the ones we want to continue to focus on to keep moving forward. For us, the Stutsman Core Values are like a road map that helps guide us in upholding our mission; to proudly serve agriculture with quality employees, products, and services to help our customers be successful. With that said, we are excited to announce the official Stutsman Core Values!More
“I believe in the future of agriculture, with a faith born not of words, but of deeds.” Just like the FFA creed begins, we believe in the education of future agriculturalists not only through the classroom but through hands-on learning. For the past five years, the Lone Tree FFA chapter has been planting a seed plot at the Kruse farm along highway 22 and we have been lucky enough to help out! This past Friday, September 23rd, the student’s showcased their hard work at the annual plot tour at Terry and Sandy Kruse’s house. More

My story is just another tale of a fourth generation farm kid growing up on our family operation along the Johnson/Cedar county line. With four generations of family through the farm, a lot of stories have been passed down and told. Hearing stories of how agriculture has evolved and the sacrifices that were made to keep the farm profitable comes close to one of my favorite reasons for loving this industry. With these stories also comes a lot of close calls and farming accidents that not only happened on our farm but around our community, surrounding towns and counties, throughout the state and across the U.S. These are the stories that make my heart drop. These stories make me wish that somehow, some way, I had the power to change the outcome.More
