August STRIVEr: Kyhl Schmidt

Our August STRIVEr took the lead to get Stutsman Transportation’s curb appeal back on track when the wet spring brought optimum conditions for weeds and a busy time around campus. Read on to learn how Kyhl Schmidt set the bar higher to earn the August honors.

Nomination

“With it being a busy, wet season it’s been difficult to keep up with the growing weeds and grass surrounding the Stutsman Transportation building. On Friday, August 16, Kyhl brought equipment from home and spent over two hours (including his lunch hour) pulling weeds, weed eating around the building, edging the grass line, push mowing and cleaning up the sidewalks. After a good mowing by someone in the shop (thanks, Pat), Stutsman Transportation looks great!”
