2017 Holiday “Drives” a Success
Giving back to the community isn’t just a part of our company culture but it plays a big role in our employee’s lives as well. We held our annual holiday “drives” for the Johnson County Crisis Center and the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital again this year. As always our employee’s went above and beyond for local people in need.
This year we donated 429lbs of non-perishable food goods and toiletry products in addition to financial gifts to the Crisis Center. This was a big jump from last year’s 247lb donation! For the third year in a row, Wessel Geldenhuys, Custom Applicator, orchestrated the fundraiser for kids spending the holidays in the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital. Due to Wessel’s determination and our compassionate employees we surpassed last year’s $1,800 gift. With the $2,300 raised and 6 shopping carts later, we purchased an assortment of goodies for children of all ages.
We are honored to have employees so generous and willing to make a difference. A big thank you goes out to all who donated and helped coordinate these efforts!
If you are interested in helping us give back to those in need, we have a blood drive right around the corner. On January 9th, 2018 from 3-6pm the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center will be at the Retail Center (350 Oak Crest Hill Road). Schedule your donation time with Melissa Ruth.
